Just kidding.

I believe Lightning McQueen is the real "Stickers"

I have to admit I did use low range here. I was expecting it to be worse than it was.

I'd say low was a good idea, especially on that narrow section lol don't want to smoke a belt. I never ride in low either on the 650 and I'm still on the original belt but I've seen other machines burn thru them

You're welcome. I also really like the rims on the BF. kawi does miss the boat though in their standard tire selection.

I really like the wheels too. I replaced the OE tires at about 100 miles - the ones I have on there know are barely OK.

I'm trying to get a set of STI Black Diamond XTs. They are my favorite trail tire and I think they would compliment the Brute Force.

Don't know if this will help you or not, I'd go for the Grim Reaper's myself;

I've had a set of Grim Reapers - they are awesome snow tires.

That's the type of trails we have up here in Northern Ontario. Rough narrow and twisty.

That's why I do not have a lot of interest in speed with ATVs the trails do not allow me to open up my 350 let alone my 500. I,m even in low range a lot of the time.
Could you imagine that trail without IRS, you would be a cripple after the ride. LOL

Much more fun then some fast dirt road that a car could follow you if it wanted.

Coming from a 2006 Sportsman X2 500 to the Can-Am Outlander Max 650 has made me a believer in more power. Can-Am 650 puts out the power of most 700-800 cc machines. When you have a long smooth hill it's nice to be able to power up it at speed in high gear. This applies to steep snow and sand conditions. I used to run out of juice with the 500 under these conditions and with my bulk on the machine, especially in snow where the trails are groomed. Also why sleds don't need a low range. They've got more power on tap to continue up the hills. This applies to 2-tracks as well as wide open road-type trails.

On the rough trails speed is pretty moot. You can get by with just about any machine with a low range.
