Who Still runs their Stock Tires??
The people who think their tires are horrible must be riding something other than Polaris. Polaris has had the the best stock tires for years, if not always. A lot of other ATV tires are 1" shorter than a comparable Polaris, and have less tread depth, too.
My original Goodyear Tracker Ps from 1997 with over 4,000 miles on them still had a lot more tread on them than my best friend's Grizzly 660 the day he bought it. They're still available, but not stock.
The old Titan 489s weren't as good as Tracker Ps, but were still pretty good for stock when you compare them to everything else made in the last 15 years. Also available from Titan in an improved 6-ply X/T version with taller lugs.
The Goodyear Rawhide Grips were so gnarly they were tearing things up so they quit using them after one model year. They're also still available, but not stock.
The Polaris PXTs (aka Carlisle A.C.T.s) were the first radial tires stock on any utility quad. They're the only 26" tires stock on anything that I know of.

Hello All,
I have 700 miles on my '07 Grizz 450 and I am still running the stock Maxxis tires... they do a good job on everything I ride as I don't get into alot of mud...
In my case - money doesn't grow on trees and I can't justify spending $300-$400 to replace tires that are still working fine...
Your thoughts[img][/img]</end quote>

I completeley agree. I still run mine and if they wear out then I will get aftermarket. But if they're still good, then why waste all that money? Unless you race or something.

I realize its tough dishing out money to replace stock tires but I think its more of a waste running them and not utilizing your quads full potential. I replaced perfectly good Maxxis tires with a new set of ITP Terracross and could not happier. There isn't a more significant modification than good radial tires. Breakdown and spend the money,it's like getting a new machine.
