Default Banshee Base Gaskets-What do they look like?

Hi Folks,

I'm replacing my RZ350 base gaskets with banshee gaskets because I'm told the banshee gaskets are made of steel (with a bead of 'yamabond'). I'm sick of replacing my blown paper gaskets so these steel Banshee ones sound ideal. After ordering the gaskets from a local Yamaha dealer (Ottawa-Canada) I discover that the gaskets are kinda silvery/lead looking and I'm pretty sure they're not steel (the surface is easily scratched with a fingernail). Also, there's no 'bead of yamabond'. Have I been given the wrong part? The yamaha part number of the gaskets I was given is 3GG-11351-01.

Pete

PS. Has anyone changed their base gaskets WITHOUT separating the head from the cylinders?
