ATV Industry Facts: Did You Know?

Back in the early to mid-1970s, ATVs like the Honda ATC 90 (three-wheeler) had yet to establish a firm target market, farmers began to take interest in using them to get around and handle farm work. A big part of the appeal was that they were quicker, cost less and used 8% as much fuel as a tractor.

ATVs were quickly recognized for their many uses in agriculture as a substitute for pick-up trucks, tractors, horses, and treks on foot. Today the ATV can be found as a staple on most farms and ranches, in orchards and forests, in nurseries and on golf courses.
