ATV Industry Facts: Did You Know?

One college in Illinois has just made Powersports repair a degree.
While automotive repair and small engine repair have been around since there have been automobiles and small engines, it’s looking like working on ATVs, UTVs and Side-by-Sides is about to become an official college major.
Southeastern Illinois College has announced that this fall it will begin offering a full Powersports Technology Degree program.

Basic Internal Combustion Engines

Basic Mechanical Skills
Bonus Fact: According to the US Department of Labor’s Occupational Outlook Handbook, employment of small engine mechanics is projected to grow 10.3% from 2016 to 2026, which is as faster than average for all occupations. The median annual wage for small engine mechanics was $35,280 in 2016.
