Traction and Power Take Riders To and Through Remote, Rough Terrain

Introduced in 2005, the Phoenix is fun, easy-to-ride and tough which appeals to a wide range of ATV riders.  The quad takes tight corners and zips down twisting trails with a sense of control and stability enabled by the tough, round-tube frame.

The Phoenix has easy handling, simple operation and a fully automatic transmission, which caters to a wide variety of ATV enthusiasts.  It is especially appealing to adults (16 and over) who are just learning to enjoy ATVs, smaller riders who want a lightweight machine and ATV owners who want to add a versatile quad to their fleet.

The Phoenix’s air-cooled 196cc 4-stroke engine delivers easy-to-handle performance. The engine has a counter-balancer to minimize vibration and to keep the ride smooth. Engine power is managed by a Constant Variable Transmission (CVT) and delivered to the rear drive wheels by a shaft drive. To ensure a smooth and sporty ride, the Phoenix delivers 7 inches of front suspension travel with a dual A-arm front suspension and 6.5 inches of rear travel.

Polaris built the Phoenix to be simple to operate.  The engine starts with an ignition key and push-button starter with improved starting in cold weather.  Transmission is automatic; no shifting is required. Riders simply choose Forward, Reverse or Neutral.  Hand controls make braking easy, activating front hydraulic disc brakes and a rear mechanical drum brake.  The rear brake also can be applied with an auxiliary foot lever.

The Phoenix was designed for reliability and durability.  The engine has been tested extensively to deliver sure starting and consistent performance.  The Phoenix shaft drive is a simple, durable, low-maintenance means of reliably delivering power to the drive wheels.  The engine and swing-arm are protected by skid plates to take the brunt of contact with obstacles, and the Phoenix has 5.7 inches of clearance at the lowest point.  The engine and gear case use separate oil supplies and a pair of fluid level windows make it easy for riders to check the oil levels.

For 2007, the Phoenix is available in White with new graphics.
