The Progressive Insurance Northwest Sportshow camps out at the Minneapolis Convention Center March 25-29, 2015, offering visitors more exhibits to shop, new attractions, and outdoor fun for all ages. In addition to shopping the latest products and accessories for hunting, fishing and boating, outdoors enthusiasts can plan their next adventure with outfitters and resorts from across Minnesota and North America, enjoy a variety of attractions like the World Champion Lumberjills’ show or sharpen skills at the new Progressive Insurance Boat School and daily outdoors interactive seminars and challenges.

Highlights of the 2015 Northwest Sportshow include:

NEW! Timber Tina’s World Champion Lumberjills. These tough “chics with axes” display a new twist on the old-school skills of lumberjacks with several daily shows. The Lumberjills never fail to amaze with logrolling on a real pond, axe throwing, chainsaw carving, crosscut sawing and more.

NEW! Sharpen nautical skills at the Progressive Insurance Boat School. Show visitors can learn the fundamentals of boating safety as top-notch mariners from the Annapolis School of Seamanship lead an array of interactive courses including general boating safety seminars, proper docking procedures, a boating simulator experience, and tips and tricks to help ensure safety on the water.

NEW! Fishermen’s Weeknight “$6 after 6” discount. Visitors wearing their favorite fishing jersey or resort sweatshirt get in for $6 after 6 PM March 25,-28. Visit the show website to print a special promotion coupon.

Kids’ Create-a-Crankbait for a cause. Crafty kids can create their own crankbait using a wood body and stick-on lure features. Donations for each crankbait kit purchased will go to the Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.

Navigate the wild – Adventure Trail Pass. Back by popular demand, the Adventure Trail Pass teaches kids about making their way through the wild as they plot a trail to visit stations throughout the show.

Ducks Unlimited Room. Visitors of all ages can learn about waterfowl and wetlands conservation. Adults can attend seminars to learn about the importance of conservation efforts while kids can paint their own duck decoys. Ducks Unlimited hosts raffles, silent auctions and more throughout the show.

Fish Tank Pro Demonstrations. Watch fishing pros cast into a pool and get an underwater view to see how Minnesota’s fish respond to various types of bait and casting methods.

Free fishing at the Trout Pond. A long-standing Northwest Sportshow tradition, the Trout Pond lets kids practice their angling skills and fish for live trout in an indoor pond.

Hunter’s Laser Shot Gallery. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Firearms Safety Program is on hand to teach kids how to hunt safely with laser hunting games.

Get licensed for any outdoor sport. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources provides a one-stop-shop for all the licenses needed to enjoy outdoor activities.
