Ask The Editors: Come on Baby Wrap My Tires
I was researching tracks for use in snow and came across an article that made it sound like there are track wraps to be purchased for your tires that would give incredible traction in the snow BUT the only place I have been able to find these referenced is in that thread. Help! Who makes them, who sells them? Sportsman700inNH
You are in luck. While digging up information on these elusive things seems to require everything just short of psychic intuition, your ATV Connection editors were up to the challenge. The snow tire track wraps you seek are called 4our Paws and the company that makes them, 4orce Mobility has them in stock/ready to ship as we speak.
As easy to mount as a spare tire, they seem to be shipping them pre-wrapped on tires & rims these days for around $900 a pair. That sounds a bit pricy until you remember that dedicated tracks go for around 5-grand and even then cover only the rear of the machine.
Give their site a look by clicking here – seems as though they have all sorts of unique solutions to ATV & UTV riders plagued with snow.
A more affordable alternative that we have been experimenting with of late with pretty decent results are Rubber Tire Chains, which retail for about $65 a pair.
