Ask The Editors: Endurocross Racing in my UTV?
Dear ATVC: I’ve been wanting to race my UTV for some time but was wondering if there’s any race series that resemble the man-mad element that has made endurocross so popular: log piles, tractor tires, lagoons and so on. Does such a series exist?
Absolutely- what you describe is Mystik Lubricants’ Terracross Championship. In addition to offering many of the obstacles you describe, they boast a healthy and highly competitive UTV class as well (one that has been won by none other than “Digger” Dug Gust).
The only downside to report is that the 2013 season already wrapped up. The series ran August 10 & 11, September 7 & 8, and then concluded in October. If this sounds like the series for you, you’re going to have about 8-months to start preparing for the 2014 rounds.
