Dear ATVC: I have a 1986 Yamaha 4-Zinger 60 and I need new wheels for it but can’t find them anywhere. I thought about changing the hub to a 4 bolt so I can get new wheels but cant find anything on this. Has anyone done this conversion before or know where I can get wheels for it?
While we’ve never attempted such a conversion, locating replacement wheels is tricky but not impossible. For starters your Yamaha dealer should be able to order OEM replacements. The spec read out is as follows:
Front Tire Size: 15×7-6
Rear Tire Size: 15×7-6
Front Wheel Size: 6 x 6
Front Wheel Bolt Pattern: 3070
Rear Wheel Size: 6 x 6
Rear Wheel Bolt Pattern: 3070
However, if dealer prices are more than you’re willing to pay for wheels on a 34-year old ATV, eBay has some used examples even as we speak. Here is one example and another and one more for the road.
