Dear ATVC: Can anyone recommend a digital engine temp gauge for a Tao Rhino? Thanks.
Well the bad news is Tao Tao never offered an OEM unit so you’re pretty much limited to universal aftermarket kits. The second dilemma is that most universal kits operate by having you install a sensor in the cooling system so as to measure the temp of the coolant after it’s left the block. The Rhino is of course air-cooled which means you are limited to a unit like this that uses a sensor ring that attaches to the spark plug itself.
As a bonus the digital readout includes a stick mount so you can attach it directly to your tank.
