Dear ATVC: Hey everyone! I want to buy a Pingel electric shifter for my (2006 Suzuki LTZ400 quad). I just don’t know if I need normally open – or normally closed ignition shifter. Anyone know if the LTZ has open or closed one?

It’s been a minute since we had to take this concern into consideration but many years ago we raced one and to do so required installation of a tether kill switch. The Suzuki LTZ400 (and all of its ilk – Kawasaki KFX400 and Arctic Cat 400DVX) use a normally closed ignition.
