Ask the Editors: Swapping a Carb for Fuel Injection
We encounter this question often and contrary to common misconception, there is actually a company called Ecotrons that will sell you the complete kit to turn your 400-800cc carbureted engine into a fully functioning fuel injected unit for $799.
If the price sounds steep, do keep in mind that it includes:
1.ECU (aluminum housing, full water proof, and EMI proof)
2.Harness (including the connectors, waterproof)
3.Throttle Body with injector mounting Assembly
• 38mm/42mm/45mm/52mm Throttle body (including TPS sensor)
• Idle Air Control (IAC)
• large Fuel injector (190g, 240g/min)
4.Fuel pump assembly
• large Fuel pump (Flow rate: 45L/h,120L/h)
• Fuel pressure regulator(3bar)
• Fuel filter (metal housing)

Realistically, we would advise simply selling off your Eiger and using the proceeds to put toward a fuel injected machine if you are absolutely convinced you can’t live without fuel injection. Unless you commonly transport your ATV to varying elevations or plan to leave it sitting for great lengths of time with fuel in the tank, you won’t experience a whole lot of benefits worthy of the cost and hassle of the conversion.
That said, the complete kit can be purchased here.
