I use my 2005 Polaris Sportsman 700 for hunting and love the camouflage motif for the application. Wondering if Polaris was the first ATV to come with this option.
Good question! The reason this one is a bit tricky to answer is that aftermarket plastics offered in green and brown tones have been available since the dawn of the ATV industry and there have always been crafty backyard engineers who made their own camo schemes with a few cans of spray paint.
However, the distinction of being the first OEM to offer factory camo bodywork belongs to Yamaha with their Buckmaster Edition Big Bear 400 4×4. The year was 2000.
