On November 15th Motorsport Aftermarket Group (MAG) announced it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy as a means of eliminating $300 million in debt.

In the event that MAG sounds unfamiliar to you, they own and manufacture parts for many brands such as Tucker Rocky, Rethal, ProTaper, Answer Racing, MSR, Progressive Suspension, QuadBoss, Vance & Hines and J&P Cycles to mention a few.

Fortunately, the day to day operations of MAG aren’t expected to change though the required recapitalization will result in new owners as well as a new board of directors.

Bonus Fact: ““The U.S. Powersports market has been in persistent decline for the past few years,” said CEO Andrew Graves. “Unfortunately, the company’s long-term debt continues to be an impediment to success.”
