We live in pretty wild times when a Macy’s department store goes belly up and a powersports dealership swoops in to turn the building into a massive showroom/ service center. Yet that’s exactly what’s happening in Elyria, Ohio as we speak.

Johnny K’s Powersports will be moving from Brookpark, Ohio to Midway Mall in Elyria and in the process expand from 10,000 square feet in the original building to 103,000 square feet! The property and parking spaces amount to about 12 acres.

Because of the new space, Johnny K’s will be adding Indian Motorcycles and Polaris all-terrain vehicles to their inventory. The move will also create 20 new jobs.

Bonus Fact: Johnny K’s paid $625,000 for the property, considerable less than the $815,000 assessment some of which was secured through government incentive programs & loans.
