Bell Helmets for the UTV Scene
Protection and air flow unique to the SxS environment.
Bell Helmets, an industry leader in innovative head protection, officially signaled its entry into the rapidly growing recreational UTV space with the launch of two new helmets, the Qualifier DLX Forced Air and Qualifier Forced Air. Over the span of its storied 65 years, Bell pioneered the first full-face auto racing and motorcycle helmet, as well as the first motocross helmet and has made indelible impressions upon various motorsports disciplines. Drawing on its industry experience these are Bell’s first helmets designed, developed and tested specifically for recreational UTV enthusiasts.
Bell Helmets has long been popular among off-road participants due to its leadership and advancements in the head protection category. With so many of the top off-road racers already using Bell helmets, Bell wanted to create UTV helmet of ferings that everyday drivers and passengers could use as well. To provide these consumers with products designed specifically for their needs, Bell used its experience from racing and sought feedback from its ambassadors and the professionals already using the helmets on what they were looking for in a recreational UTV helmet.
“With the growing popularity of UTV’s, we wanted to satisfy a need by providing these enthusiasts with the types of proven helmets that Bell has been synonymous with for nearly 65 years,” said Chris Sackett, Bell Helmets vice president. “Using our industry expertise, and feedback from our ambassadors, we’ve developed something we are incredibly proud of and that we know consumers are going to love. We are excited about the future, as we continue to develop new products and incorporate our top-of-the-line safety technologies into helmets for this category.”
The new Qualifier DLX Forced Air comes standard with a Transitions shield, that offers clarity in low-light conditions and quickly darken in brighter conditions, ensuring that riders will be able to adjust to randomly changing lighting conditions throughout the day. While not included, the Qualifier Forced Air is also compatible with the Transitions® shield. Both helmets feature a premium dust skirt, designed to keep debris out of the helmets. The dust skirt is paired with a forced air kit that allows riders to breathe in cool, clean air by using positive pressure to prevent dusty air from entering the helmet. The forced air also creates a cooling sensation by blowing air straight down on the rider’s head, making it ideal for any conditions.
The Qualifier DLX Forced Air also features a communications port and speaker pockets where riders will be able to connect their Bluetooth devices. Bell is also partnering with Rugged Radio and has released a “Rugged Ready” version of the helmet prewired with Rugged’s intercom system.
