Can-Am Helps Special Operations Forces Service Members
Defenders for the defenders.

This Veteran’s Day, Can-Am Off-Road celebrated all members of the military, both past and present. As part of that, the brand is donating the use of two Can-Am Defender side-by-side vehicles, as well as $5,000 to Special Ops Xcursions, which provides active-duty Special Operations Forces service members and their families with incredible pre- and post-deployment adventures.

The donation comes by way of the “Can-Am for a Cause” program, which works alongside the vast Can-Am dealer network to identify organizations making a difference in their communities and rewards them with access to vehicles.
Special Ops Xcursions, which is based out of Nashville, TN, provides members of the military community with outdoor adventures such as hunting, fishing, camping, trap and skeet shooting, archery range days, and family retreats – all of which align perfectly with the Can-Am Off-Road Livin’ platform. Special Ops Xcursions adventures are free of charge and designed to give a well-deserved escape between training and deployment.

“Special Operations military members can be on deployment for months at a time, and then when they’re home, they may train for two or three more months, which doesn’t give them much down time to spend with friends and family,” said Scott Graves, founder of Special Ops Xcursions. “We make it easy for them to step away from their responsibilities and enjoy the great outdoors. Can-Am’s support elevates the entire experience and gives us the tools we need to make truly memorable adventures for everyone involved.”

The Can-Am Defender lineup is built to be extremely capable and reliable. It is an ideal machine to get the job done, no matter the task at hand, whether it is for work or play. It has ample amounts of cargo capacity and a utility bed in back to carry gear, along with comfortable seating for multiple occupants. It is everything people need to rule the outdoors in any terrain or season.

The Can-Am dealership that nominated Special Ops Xcursions is OuterLimit Powersports in Dyersburg, TN. They selected them because the dealership has employees, family members, and friends who are both active duty and veterans, and
they wanted to help give back.

“Working alongside our dealer network is what makes Can-Am for a Cause a success,” said Marc-Andre Dubois, Director of Retail Operations at BRP. “They know their communities extremely well, and it is an honor to join forces with them to give back and make a difference.”
