Chaparral Motorsports Enters the ATV/UTV Tire Market
Meet the new Ocelot line of tread.
With ATV and UTV season in full swing, Chaparral Motorsports is proud to offer offroad enthusiasts its line of Ocelot tires that deliver quality and performance at an extremely affordable price. Sporting most of the sizes that ATV and UTV fans need and with an array of tread patterns, the Ocelot range of tires has something for everyone.
As one of the largest ATV and UTV tire dealers in the country, Chaparral knows exactly what consumers demand from their tires and therefore has tailored the Ocelot line to serve those needs. The Ocelot tire line is comprised of more than 30 different models and includes everything from radial and bias-ply, to lightweight 4-ply tires and heavy-duty 8-ply tires with an assortment of tread configurations for every type of terrain from hard-pack and light sand to roots, rocks, mud, and desert.
The Ocelot tire family offers a mix of unique tread patterns as well as multiple tires that are comparable to those found as OE equipment on many of the popular ATV and UTVs models. For example, the Ocelot Atacama and Victory tires are ground-up designs that no other retailer offers while the Ocelot P373 was created to compete with the Kenda Bear Claw, and the P350 is a head-to-head competitor for the Maxxis Big Horn 2.0.
Beyond offering a broad range in tread patterns and sizing, the other benefit to choosing Ocelot tires is extremely affordable pricing. In order for a consumer to get the tire he/she needs it typically involves a multi-channel process that includes the manufacturer, a distributor and the retailer. By creating its own tire line directly with the tire manufacturer and omitting the distributor channel, Chaparral Motorsports has cut out the “middle man” saving time as well as money for the consumers.
With its massive inventory and in-house tire mounting facility, Chaparral Motorsports can deliver consumers a set of four Ocelot tires mounted on steel wheels for less than or nearly the same price as purchasing four tires only of a comparable Maxxis or ITP model. Essentially, with this extremely affordable price structure consumers could have two complete sets of wheels and tires (an OEM kit and an Ocelot kit) for different terrain types. The entire Ocelot lineup can be found at www.chaparral-racing.com
To see how their tires stack up against the competition, Chaparral Motorsports has gathered a collection of more than 20 Ocelot and other brands of ATV tires for a head-to-head shootout with challenges such as a 1,500-pound sled pull, timed uphill climb, downhill stopping distance, and a mud run. Once all the challenges are complete and the data has been compiled Chaparral will be providing a full report detailing how each tire fared. Be sure to follow Chaparral Motorsports on social media to see the results once posted.
