Line of Electric Powersports Vehicles Coming to Best Buy

We’ll take a copy of Mario Kart and a real kart, please.

Until now, you’ve probably associated your local Best Buy with consumer electronics and entertainment – but, according to a recent press release, pretty soon you’ll be able to pick up a new electric-powered bike, kart or scooter along with your TVs and video games.

Starting this October, a full line of electric transportation products will be available through both Best Buy’s website and select store locations.

The selection includes e-bikes, scooters, mopeds and accessories from manufacturers such as Unagi, Bird, Segway-Ninebot, SUPER73, SWFT and more.

“There’s been incredible innovation in the e-transportation space, and we know more customers are looking for ways to efficiently and sustainably commute,” said Frank Bedo, Senior Vice President at Best Buy in the announcement. “As we grow this selection, we look forward to helping customers find the right products to fit their needs and supporting them as they hit the road safely.”

For select e-bikes, Geek Squad can safely assemble and help customers fine-tune their bikes, at the convenience of the customer’s own home, for $99.99. Those services include adjusting brakes, seat height and handlebars.
