Meet an ATV – Without Wheels

Well, if anyone tries to tell you there no sense trying to reinvent the wheel, let them know that we’re approaching an era where we don’t even need wheels!

Meet the Aerofex Aerial ATV, a Star Wars vehicle come to life. We can’t say we’re on board with the test rider’s choice of attire and helmet but hey, when your job is to shred across the desert on a prototype flying quad, who cares if your choice in head gear makes you look like a geek.

Those of us jonesing to climb on board and zip over the nearest swamp are going to have to wait a little longer (not to mention buy some lottery tickets) as the Ariel ATV isn’t set to be delivered until 2017 and at the rather cost prohibitive MSRP of $85,000. Hey, no one ever said defeating gravity was cheap!

We’ve tracked down a video clip of some of the initial testing of the Aerial and are checking out specifics on the next Powerball drawing as we speak.
