Portable High Pressure Air System

 undefined

undefined    The Power Tank was developed by Advanced Air Systems to fill the need to have plenty of air power in a small portable package with you at all times. It is a compact aluminum cylinder that holds 10 pounds of pressurized liquid CO2. It is capable of pressures of up to 210 psi and is able to inflate a 37 tire from 10 to 30 psi in a mere 60 seconds! Need to be able to run an air impact wrench 100 miles from the nearest garage? The Power Tank can handle the job and still have enough pressure to inflate tires.

undefined    The secret to the Power Tank is its Super Flow regulator. It is designed to deliver high flow and high pressure without freeze clogging. When CO2 is released through a valve it tends to freeze. With Advanced Air Systems unique regulator, it out performs a conventional air compressor in its speed to produce air. The Power Tank does have limitations with how many tires it can inflate but its worth its weight in gold when you can only carry 30 pounds of equipment compared to carrying a conventional air compressor and a generator to run it. We were surprised to see that it didnt use very much CO2 to air up 4 33 tires.

undefined The Power Tank kit comes with a tank, Super Flow regulator and a handle. The handle allows you to easily move the tank around along with protecting the regulator and gauges. The kit also includes a mounting bracket, a tire inflator with gauge, air hose, tank boot, digital scale, regulator bag and accessory bag.       With the tank in the mounting bracket it can be mounted anywhere you have space. Its small enough to be mounted on an ATV rack or in a vehicle. We found that it fit well under the rear seat of an extended cab truck. Its everything you need all in a small convenient package!

The first step is to have the tank filled. You need to removeundefined the handle and regulator and have it filled at your local welding shop. It costs about each fill. With the tank, regulator, handle, and 10 pounds of CO2 it weighs in at just less than 28 pounds. Advanced Air sells a digital gauge to weigh the tank to make sure you get a full 10 pounds and to see how much you have left after its used.

undefined     Once its filled and youve reinstalled the regulator and handle, its ready to use. Connect the air hose; open the regulator and gauge valve and youre ready to go. We tested it first on a truck that had the tires aired down to drive in the sand where traction is critical. Each 285/75/16 tire had about 22 psi and needed to go to 50 psi. We were able to air up each tire in less than 30 seconds and only use about 3 pounds of CO2 for all 4 tires. We were amazed to see it use so little!

Next we tried the Power Tank with a impact wrench. We used it on some over-torqued ATV wheels. We determined that the lug nuts were torqued to about 100 foot pounds. It easily powered the lug nuts off and came close to spinning the impact wrench out of our hands. To do one wheel (4 lugs nuts) it took less than a pound of air from the tank.

We were truly impressed with the power and portability the Power Tank has to offer!

If you ever need a high pressure air system miles from home the Power Tank is the only thing to consider!
