Four new models in only two months shows they are burning the midnight lamp oil. Suzuki engineers are not only hard at work improving their impressive line-up. They also offer a variety of accessories to augment your riding experience. The Vinson is sure to be one of the most noticeable big bore ATVs on the trail with its slanted headlights and flashy yellow paint, but add front and rear bumpers and a Warn A2000 winch it will become
unstoppable. When you want to sneak in for the kill you’ll have to be concealed in camouflage, Suzuki will cover you and your machine in the Mossy Oak® Break-Up® pattern. Accessories have become a huge part of the ATV market and the Suzuki Corporation has come forward with countless accessories to enhance and protect your riding investment. Suzuki was generous enough to send some of their Suzuki was
generous enough to send some of their impressive accessories our way for evaluation. The Warn Multi-Purpose Plow was the first to arrive and since we already had the LT-A500F Vinson in our possession we wanted to try the plow right away. The winter in Northeast Pennsylvania was not as brutal as in past years. A couple of intense storms hit early in the season leaving behind enough white stuff for plowing. The Warn Plow blades are made of high-strength low alloy steel with 3/16″ outer ribs for superior strength and rigidity. The blades come in two sizes the 48″ or 54″ with arms and pulleys. The massive bushings used at critical pivot points help reduce wear and help absorb the shock of plowing. Replaceable wear bar and adjustable gravel skids make fast work of most difficult jobs. There is a pin that is removed for quick removal of the plow to go from work to fun. For more convenience use a manual lift, winch or electric actuator. In addition you will need the Winch Mount for mounting. This heavy-duty winch plate bolts easily to the standard front bumper to mount either a Warn or Superwinch brand winch. The plow pushed the heavily packed snow with ease. We were able to clear a professional size ice skating rink on top of a lake in less then one hour. Obviously, plows aren’t just for winter anymore. Warn winches are no strangers to the ATV industry. They have
upheld a strong reputation for their impressive pulling power. After testing the Warn A2000 ATV Winch, We knew why. The A2000 has a 0.9hp permanent magnet motor that drives a high performance pulling power. We secured the winch to the 2002 Vinson and went “looking for trouble”. Every situation we put the Vinson in; whether it was in goopy mud or to pull us up some steep slippery inclines the winch pulled out the 604lb. ATV with ease. To control the winch direction, it uses a heavy-duty, fixed switch that mounts to the rack of the ATV. The power-interrupt solenoid only allows the winch to be used if the ATV’s ignition is “ON”. The rated line pull is 2000lbs. (single-line) and the wire rope is 50’, 3/16″in diameter. It left our test riders convinced this is one winch you can trust.
Bumpers can give your quad that added eye catching quality, and
lets face it, we all want the same thing; ” a great looking quad that can out-beat our buddy’s”. These rugged bumpers add form and function to your QuadRunner. Styled to compliment your Suzuki and powder coated for durability, these bumpers are made of tough 1 5/8″ round tubing with a wall thickness of .083″ (2.1 mm) to handle the rough stuff. They helped push through some heavy brush and small saplings. The bumpers include mounting brackets for some added trail lights available through your Suzuki dealer. If you want longevity of your ATV, protect the machinery with a durable skid plate and uphold proper maintenance Skid Plates help
protect the frame, engine and other components from scratches and damage caused by debris and obstacles that get in your path. The Skid Plates from Suzuki are made of 4mm 6061 T6 aircraft quality aluminum and custom engineered for a perfect fit. You could replace the stock skid plates or mix and match for your personal preference. These skid plates are rugged! We hurtled boulders, fallen trees and creek beds. After close inspection, all we could find were a few scratches. When all of the trail testing was complete, the Vinson was in desperate need of a bath. The pressure washer was fired up and all the mud was quickly removed. Suzuki sent us some spray cleaners and lubricants, so we took this opportunity to use them. First, the engine and electrical system was sprayed with Engine Degreaser and hosed off leaving no residue (* 12oz can / 12per case). Because we were testing a brand new ATV there was not much grease or grime, but theproduct worked well. The engine was 
topped off with a spray of Penetrating Lubricant Spray to help start wet engines and protect the electrical system (* 12oz can / 12per case). There were no strong fumes with either of these chemicals. After removal of the clumped-up mud, a liberal amount of the Suzuki Performance Motorcycle Wash was applied and left on for a few minutes to penetrate the remaining dirt. It was hosed off until no more suds were evident. It did remove the excess dirt and grime without scrubbing (* 32oz spray bottle /12precase or 1gal / 4percase). After the washing was complete, the machine was wiped dried and the Suzuki Performance Detailer was applied. Remember to put your ATV in a shaded area when polishing for the best results. This
cleaner/polish is formulated for a quick and easy shine helping to replenish and protect you ATV or motorcycle (* 16oz spray bottle / 12per case). We also received the Silicone Lubricant it stops sticking and loosen rusted parts. We used this product when the skid plates and winch were attached,the spray helped lubricate the nuts and bolts. This is one product you definitely need in the garage (* 11oz can / 12per case). We all enjoy getting down and dirty, but when the ride is over take the extra time to thoroughly clean the unit. Good maintenance will keep the ATVs value high and your machine won’t let you down on the trails.
The proper riding apparel is important. You need to dress for the weather, being cold or uncomfortable can ruin the whole experience. When you see 100% cotton on a clothing label, comfort immediately comes to mind. Suzuki has Camouflage T-Shirts for casual use or wear under a jacket, these heavyweight t-shirts feature the popular Mossy Oak® Break Up® pattern, rib-knit collars and cuffs and a
full-bodied cut with extra-long tails. These are made of 100% cotton and embroidered with the Suzuki logo for style. They are available in short sleeve or long sleeve. The Suzuki by Vanson QuadRunner Jacket and Pants are perfect for hunting or riding. They are made of tough 1000 denier Cordura® to handle almost any riding condition, water resistant and vented for all weather riding. Vanson selects only the best, top-grain, and U.S. hides. They are tanned, drum-dyed and tumbled. All jackets have their own ID number, which is embossed on the garment and a key fob for your reference. They offer repair and refinishing service to replace linings, zippers, snaps, buckles and will perform alterations on any Vanson garment, whatever its age or condition! Hook and loop closures on the jacket cuffs and collar add 
to convenience and riding comfort. The pants feature an adjustable waistband and zippered calves. They have the Mossy Oak® Break Up® for a great camouflage effect. Oh, lets not forget the Vanson heated vest, a heat controled unit that plugs into your ATV. This vest has a Thermostatic control and plugs into your Vinson’s factory 12 volt accessory plug! Very convenient and very warm! The sizes range from small to XXX-large, which is great for the big boys on the trail.
