Lots going on at Kawasaki

Check out the two-minute “Team Green 30th Anniversary” teaser video, online. Team Green plans to unveil the full 22-minute feature film in August. Check out the teaser here:

This July, the Good Times Sales Event is really heating up. We are in the final month of the biggest sales event Kawasaki has ever had and following the event’s July 31st conclusion, each of the 820 participating Kawasaki dealers will be giving away a new Kawasaki motorcycle or ATV.

The clock is ticking and soon the Good Times Sales Event will come to a dramatic conclusion. Consumers have limited time to enter the landmark giveaway, so Kawasaki has just produced a new video featuring Greg White which explains just how to enter the promotion and have a chance to win a Vulcan 1700 Vaquero, Ninja 250 or Bayou 250.

Yamaha Helps Raise ,000 for Wish I Could Foundation of NE Louisiana

Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A., donated a Grizzly 700 ATV to the Wish I Could of Northeast Louisiana, Inc. (WIC) foundation helping raise ,230 for the charity at the annual Marengo Swamp Run in Hebert, La., on June 4. The annual event, which raises money mainly through entry fees and private donations, helps fund the WIC mission of granting wishes of terminally ill children in Northeast Louisiana.

Yamaha has donated an ATV each of the past eight years, helping to raise more than ,000 – money that pays for the WIC annual kids’ Christmas party. The WIC Foundation has in total raised more than 0,000 in the same time to help make kids’ wishes come true.

“Yamaha is proud to support Wish I Could and its cause of helping terminally ill children,” said Mike Martinez, general manager of Yamaha’s ATV & SxS vehicle group. “Yamaha also congratulates Ricky Rollins for winning the Grizzly 700 ATV, and thanks everyone who purchased a raffle ticket. That money goes directly to WIC and the kids.”

More information about the WIC organization and the Marengo Swamp run is available at http://www.wishicould.org/donate.html/.

Single Event Pro Licenses Still Available for 2011 ATVMX Series

Just a reminder: single event pro licenses are still being offered to those who meet the AMA Pro Racing ATV eligibility requirements for the 2011 AMA ATV Motocross Championship Series presented by DWT. This is the first year that ATV Pro riders unable to contest the entire championship have had the chance to compete in individual events without the financial commitment of purchasing an annual license.

One-day licenses can still be purchased for each ATVMX event. Full year and single event license applications are still available at www.amaproracing.com/.

Round 9 of the 2011 AMA ATV Motocross Championship will head to Unadilla Valley Sports Center in New Berlin, NY, July 16-17. Pro class racing starts at 1 p.m. Saturday, supported by 37 amateur classes throughout Saturday and Sunday. For more information, please visit www.atvmotocross.com/.

Borich and McGill Battle for Points Lead at Round 9 of GNCC

After 8 rounds of racing, the 2011 Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series Championship is beginning to take shape as the points margin has closed to a mere seven point difference between the leaders, the tightest margin yet this season.

The Wiseco John Penton is historically known for its unpredictable weather conditions and inevitably variable course conditions. Offering up a little bit of everything, the Millfield course presents racers with a motocross section, plenty of trails through the woods and of course, mud and hill climbs.

Warnert Racing Can-Am’s Adam McGill prevailed in tough conditions just two weeks ago at Snowshoe, capturing his second win of the season and closing the points gap on current points leader, Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Chris Borich. Borich, also last year’s Wiseco John Penton winner, experienced tough luck at Snowshoe, finishing a disappointing twelfth place after mechanical issues set him back.

Don’t forget Yamaha Racing’s youngest rider Walker Fowler, who has had a perfect season so far in the XC2 class, on top of capturing an overall win already this year. Ballance Racing’s Fowler is never far from the front; the Ohio native is looking to contest the win this weekend in his home state.

With the Fourth of July behind us, Glen Helen Raceway returns to racing with three of our most popular series: the Yamaha Quad-X Series, which takes place Saturday and Sunday, REM Saturday, MX on Saturday, and American Retrocross on Sunday.

The best ATV racers in the Southwest return to Glen Helen Raceway for rounds 5 and 6 of the Yamaha Quad-X Series. With half of the season already over, the racing is sure to heat up at Glen Helen, as Yamaha’s Dustin Nelson looks to stretch out his points lead with his fifth and sixth consecutive wins. Hot on his heels, however, is Honda-mounted Beau Baron, who is looking to make up points after devastating mechanical problems took him out of contention at the previous round. Stay up to date with this thrilling series by logging on to www.quadxseries.com/.

Racers competing in this weekend’s Quad-X races will be able to take advantage of a quad-only practice session on Friday from 9AM-1PM.

We close out this edition of The Buzz with a pic that’s sure to deserve a double take. This is a Polaris RANGER 6X6 transformed! Marshall Motoart used the bed from the 6X6 and created a wagon! With the MARSHALL MOTOART 5.5 cage kit you can give 3 more people a ride with two having FULL leg room! Turbo and Air Suspension, Lights galore even on the wagon, extra fuel containers, tent up high to keep you safe and dry. Count the wheels and tires; and you thought replacing four tires was expensive! While we’ve yet to encounter this beast in person to verify, there are rumors that it contains one incredible sound system!
