Ve3,

It sounds like you got it right on. The screw with the spring is the idle screw and the other is the air screw. If you followed my post it will gt you right on.

Honda rider,

Did this just start? How long have you owned it?

Like what was suggested above next time this happens take off the fuel cap and see if it will start. One of the biggest common problem is teh gas cap venting. If its not vented right it will stall after a few min. Some caps have a valve and some have just a rubber cap inside with a slit cut into it. If its the one with the slit you can make it bigger or just push a flat head screw driver through.

Bump... and to say Thanks for the writeup. Santa's gonna put a Panther 110 under the tree for my boy this Christmas, and I've been tinkering with it to make sure it's ready to go. This thing IS a cold-natured biatch; it took me a while to get it running today. I plan to go back and follow the step-by-step adjustments tomorrow, and put in some good oil.

2manytoys (and everyone else that has contributed) - GREAT WRITE UP! This topic has been extremely helpful.

2manytoys - I do have one follow-up. I've adjusted the carb per the write up, and everything went smoothly. Idle is now good, unfortunately when I release the parking brake and try and give it gas with the throttle, it stalls out (almost immediately upon throttle)....unless I choke it, in which case it runs fine, so it STILL seems to me like it's wanting fuel. I've swapped the plug to NGK, done the carb adjustment, and adjusted the mixture and air screw (as well as letting it run for 30 minutes). Does anyone have any other ideas (aside from tearing apart the carb to clean the jets...which is likely my next step)?

THANKS!
Travis

problem: just bought a sunl 110(model135) - got it running, kid rode it for a half hour, and it started losing power.... i didn't notice till he got stuck, and couldn't get our of a little rut...(I though he was afraid to give it some juice) I went over and helped him out of it..i then noticed he wasn't going that fast...he only weighs 45lbs, so i was scratching my head.. i got on it and it wouldn't even move...started making clacking sounds....then it dawned on me that it was overheating....we shut it down and started it up awhile later....i got on it and the power was back...but if I push it to full throttle, it starts clacking loudly.....does this mean the motor ran too hot too long, and it's messed up??? any help would be greatly appreciated

yea from now on nomore china junk for me. i nearly died (maybe not died but could of got hurt bad) twice on my 200cc atv. first time the axle snapped(like a month after i got it!!!) at a pretty high speed. then just a few days ago the wheel flew off again becasue the axle hub bolt came loose. APERD watch when your kid is on his and make sure everything stays tight on it. i would hate to see this happen to a younger kid!
