i have a dinili small atv. the carb has been cleaned, plug replaced, gas replaced, compression tested, but still wont run. it would start with starting fluid a coupple of weeks ago, but only with the kick start after about 20 kicks. the electric start will tur the motor over, but will not start it. it has a good spark with the starter, and with kick. now it wont start at all. still has a good spark, and a clean carb. any ideas as to why it wont wont run? it is a two stroke.

 

NEVER use starting fluid on a 2 stroke! 2 strokes require oil in the fuel, you may have damaged your cylinder! You need to do a compression test, if less than around 90 PSI you have internal issues. If its 90+, then check the back of the atv for the "leash" that most of the small dinli's have...its a safety switch for parents to kill the atv from behind while teaching the kids to ride..

 

Check the timing. Does this bike use a magneto? Have you checked the throttle cable? Is it working? I doubt that you did any damage with the starting fluid. Being it would just start and die. make sure the cable is working the slide in the carb.

If it has spark then the "leash" thing is ok. That "leash" kill switch stops it from firing,(kills the spark).

 

The electric start on this brand never last long

 

My dinili quad wont idle correctly sometimes it will idle and sometimes it just dies when i stop giving it gas. Every once and a while it will drip a drop or two of oil can this effect it?
