I have been given what I am told is a 50cc Chinese quad that runs well but doesn't idle very well or at all sometimes. I have been told that the carb mit need to be taken apart and cleaned. Was hoping that someone might be able to point me in the right direction for that. Also wondering if there is any way to ID what I have been given in hopes of finding some form of users manual.
Thanks

Couple questions first:
Does it run okay when you are moving along?
Does it leak fuel out of bowl vent tube when running/starting?
If it runs fine while moving along and does not leak anything from the bowl vent, then more than likely you just need to adjust the idle screw on the carb. If your 50cc's are like the 2 I have, there is a black vent on each side just below the tank. Remove those (just pull them out--might take a bit of force).
The idle adjustment screw will be on the left side (the screw should be brass colored and is enclosed by a spring). Turn clockwise while running in Neutral. You will notice the idle speed start to increase. Set it to your liking and you should be good-to-go.
Also, another member posted some good info here for car adjusting on many different Chinese models: http://forums.atvconnection.com/chin...-sunl-etc.html
Hope this helps.
As for getting a manual.......good luck there...........as these Chinese quads go under many brand names even though they are all identical.
