Since you asked 2 weeks in a row with only one reply. I asked myself how I'd solve this problem. I'd go to my favorite auto part store and buy something like this Dorman/AutoGrade 1/4 in. hose to 1/4 in. male NPT tube fuel connector fitting (492-004.1) | Hose Fitting | AutoZone.com
I'd also buy 2 rubber washers, a nut to fit the back, and a can of the glue they use to seal patches on tires.
Drill a hole in the boot between the carb and air filter that is just big enough to shove the threads through. Put a rubber washer on the threads of the nipple. Cover the threads of the nipple and the inside of the washer with the glue. Cover one side of the other washer with glue place it on the inside. Add my nut and tighten. Give it 20-30 minutes to dry. Install the air filter assembly. Hook the hose to the nipple.
If it goes to the air box and you delete the air box my guess is that this is the next best thing. If not you can probably get a new piece of hose for about $5.
