Default Newbie with baja 150 starting problems.

Hey everyone I'm sean just joined up. I just recently got a baja 150 engine has national stamped on it if it helps. Problem I'm having is the motor will turn over and cough but won't fire. Tried pull starting it and got it running and if I feathers the throttle I could close the gap between my self and my buddy. If I pulled the clutch in tho it will die right away will not idle. I've changed plugs and tested that to make sure it was getting spark. (Maybe it's weak?) new plug wire, fresh oil. Just wondering if anyone has more rxpierence with this and if I could get led Dow the right path? Thanks again.

so it won't idle and when you give it more throttle, it bogs down and dies? is that what you're saying?

Sounds like the jet in the carb needs cleaning. Maybe it is gummed up.
