Fuel Line Severed by Frame
#1
Hi all,
Anyone got any experience of a Kazuma Meerkat 50 having its fuel line sliced off by the frame at the brass spigot when the quad is maneuvered hard?
Its a bit of a nightmare with fuel running everywhere!
Seems like there isnt enough clearance for the line as the frame flexes and it cleanly cuts the tube at the top of the brass spigot.
Suggestions? Frame brace? Cut brass spigot?
Many thanks in advance

Fuel lines are usually flexible. So if you have a line that is a rubber like material and the frame sheared it off then I would have to say it was too short. If there had been some "slack" then it would have just moved a little and then went back into place... Unless you have the frame moving distances that can be measured with a yard stick.

if the quad frame is moving that a yard stick can measure it, then i don't wanna be riding that sucker!!!!!!! bwahahahaha,,,,that's some of the funniest stuff i've ever heard. i'll have to borrow that quote..i love it. that's awesome. but you're right, more hose gives more flexibility to reroute the lines. but if the frame moves that much, motor mounts and frame bushings must be shot and replaced.
