Please can anyone help me with getting my daughters quad started. This qaud is right out of the create a 125 tao tao, i have been trying to get it started for two days now. It will run for about 5 seconds and cut off, im thinking a fuel problem along with cold start, but i have no clue where to go or what to look for to get this thing running.

 

have you cleaned the carb? sometimes they put them chic-let gel packs in the carb, that'll screw ya. have you cleaned a carb before? if not, here's a fairly generic video that can walk you through it.
sounds like a fuel delivery issue rather than a valve adjustment issue.

 

I did get this thing runing, but it has taken a lot of adjustments to keep it running. She can be riding along and the thing just cuts off. I Think and hope the carb cleaning may help. But no i've never done this before so i will check out the video. i'm thinking i will change the fuel filters also. Are these like 3/8? Thanks for the help!!

depends on the jet, but i last time i used a 6mm, 10mm, and maybe a 5mm? just go easy on the brass.
