Default 110 CC Zackal

I bought a 110 CC Zackel for my grandson that ran great. Starter went out. I replaced it and the starter works well. Problem is, I don't have any spark. I'm sure it has to do with a ground somewhere that I disconnected during disassembly. So, here is my situation. I have a Chinese 2005 110 marketed by Jackal. It has a 4 pin CDI, no remote, manual shift with shaft drive. The starter cranks the engine, no spark. On the coil lead (not the one going to the spark plug) there is a brass attachment to the outside of the wire that tells me something should be attached. I would love to send a pic, but can't figure out how to on this site. Has anyone seen this. I can send a PM with pic(if I can figure out how). Any advise would be appreciated. Grandson is driving me nuts with nothing to do-Please help.

if you run your mouse over the little buttons above the reply box at the bottom you will see one that says insert image. You image will need to be on another hosting service like photobucket or something similar.
Can you pick your coil out of a lineup?

Default Thanks for the help

Wow, what a selection for coils. I think I can attach a picture. I can find my coil, it's the brass connection that is on the lead that I cant figure out where to attach. Hopefully you can see it in the picture.

Default Thanks Brumbear

Great guide, but I have a 4 pin CDI, and from what I've read they are tested and grounded differently than the 5 PIN. Do you know of a similar guide for the 4 pin CDI-Thanks again.

the lead probably dropped down and is hanging on the left side of the machine. or it may have had a small pigtail that fell out of one of the connectors. Time to get small and stand on your head to find it..hehe
