Got a tao tao ATA110B for my boy for Christmas...Yes I'm cheap just finishing college and no money lol. anyway worked fin for a bout a week and then he hooked a battery charger to it and put it on 12 amp crank and then it wouldnt work. i have replaced the rectifier the solenoid the cdi and just about everything and i am getting no spark the starter turns but no spark. any ideas as to what i should check? Then there is this black box that i think is the security box cause it hooks up to the alarm but also other things what is it.

One other thing anyone have a more in depth wire diagram for this bike????

Is the security box the black one with two yellow wires going to the alarm and then a bunch of others coming out as well. Tried unplugging that nothing changes. Any other ideas?

Do you have a multimeter? Check voltage, first from stator to cdi, there should be something like a 100volts, if not the pulse coil is broken. A common problem on chinese engines.

however if you find the pulse coil to be sufficient just keep measuring down the harness.
You dont need the rectifier or stator (if dc cdi) on ac cdi you need the stator to be working so check the voltage from this as well
