Default 50cc automatic Chinese quad stuck in one gear

I have a Kazuma meerkat 50cc fully automatic quad that runs great but seems to be stuck in the first gear,doesn’t go very fast and rpms get really high as u throttle but doesn’t seem to switch gears,I changed the clutch and torqued to specs,still same problem,please any help would b greatly appreciated

Did you set the clutch with the set screw thats on the left side of cover? You need a wrench and screwdriver to set some tension on it. If it has no tension it will slip

i did try turning it a little but wasn’t sure which way to turn it,the original clutch was doing the same exact thing as this one but wasn’t sure if it was the clutch or another issue

also another question,on the side of the head it has 86mm,does this mean it’s a 90cc?
my son has a 50cc meerkat and on the head is stamped 49cc and owners manual says it’s a 50cc , jus trying to see exactly what engine I have

Check out the U tube videos on adjusting that screw. Its been a while since iv adjusted one and cant remember what way to turn.
