Default Tao 250 Rhino revs up by itself

Every time after riding for awhile, the engine revs up by itself. Usually when I'm slowing down coming to a stop. The throttle cable has a clear run to the carb, no binding or kinks. I pull and push the cable to see if that helps but does not. Any ideas??
Thanks!!

Have you tried adjusting the Idle Screw? If it's Idled up to high the engine will rev high.

The problem was the cable was riding against the spring in the carb body. Turning the spring did the trick.

Ah yes. First time putting my sons carb back on I put the the throttle spring loaded black slider in 180 degrees the wrong way. When I fired his atv up it was instantly wide open throttle lol. Glad you got it figured out.
