Edelbrock Quiksilver Carb
#1
Has anybody replaced their stock carb with the Edelbrock Quiksilver? I ride a 99 400 EX and heard they were going to be making one for that quad soon. Has anybody heard anything about this? Advantages, if any?

They have been going to get one on the market for a year now. I gave up and went with the full race FCR.

I contacted Edelbrock a month ago to check on the status of the 400EX Quicksilver carb. They said that they will be ready for sale the first week of June. If you want one you can call Edelbrock and get your name on their list.
I have a couple questions about the FCR carb for anyone who knows about them. First, are they difficult to install- specifically, do they require modification of stock parts to get it to fit? Secondly, are the FCR carbs the same down draft style used on street bikes? If so, how can that work when mounted in on the side of a cylinder?
