Default HotCams 2 w/springs and High Comp piston

I was reading the instructions that came with the cam and it says something about having to have the center intake valve/guide machined down, what do they exactly mean, has anyone that is using this setup know what they are referring to?

The center rocker carries more geometry causing a slightly higher lift at the valve...with some raptors the keeper may actualy damage the seal...
solution is to "machine" lower the surface hieght of the guide just slightly
I did it with a cut-off wheel on a small dremel...
doesn't take to much

So it's the guide that needs to be reduced down? How much do you estimate you cut on yours, and how do I test if OK?

To test if its ok...finish building the motor and start it...if it takes out the seal it will smoke like a stuck pig,
or if you want you take it down regardless and know it won't be an issue
Hotcams sends the measurement don't they? I cant remember how much...I think it was about half the tapered portion.

I talked to Hot Cams about it today. They said very few Raptors will have this problem. Only 4 out of every 100. They also said that the worst case scenario is that it'll consume a little oil. All that's needed for clearancing is 1mm.
