Man I'm so friggin sore I can barely type this crap right now. First lap I was puttin around trying to avoid the mudholes because the tractor was previously soaking the track to control dust. I was clearing the doubles on the second lap but slammed really hard when I would come up short for the triples, so I was quickly discouraged. My stock fronts would bottom out very easily and would pound me very hard. Other than the shocks, the 49" widened rappy was handling like a champ and the denton dampner eliminated the bump steer. I stayed in second and third gear mostly, it helps with a front 12 tooth sprocket. I just love the bottom end on the rappy, you can just power out of the corners without shifting a whole bunch. I defenitely need some front shocks at a minimum. I could set the rear stiff enough not to bottom out but the fronts were maxed out but still killing me. My buddies predator would soak up the hard hits a whole lot better then my bike. I had a blast and I can't wait to go back.

Hey Delta, which track did you go to, New Iberia or Breaux Bridge? I totally agree with you on the Rappy's front suspension, especially if you've reversed the front rims. They're kinda soft without all the leverage. Don't worry, it's only money!

I went to the one in new Iberia. I liked the track, the layout seemed kind of simple, but it was fun. It was pretty damn muddy I might add, after he soaked the track, I think he could get away with half of the water he puts down.

Delta dawg long time no see......Was the track packed or did you have alittle room to play around without having to worry about someone landing on your back?...We went to the Toledo Bend MX track and we were the only one there so it was alot of fun. By the way are you gonna make it to the Dunes this weekend?

Actually shaun there was only about 20 bikes out there at the most and as far as the dunes go, I don't ride there as much because Barney will not attempt to smooth out portions of the dunes. Speaking on the subject , I believe it was the owner who replied me and stated that if he considered any type of maintenance he would have to raise the price. That is such BS because how can the MX tracks maintain there tracks more than once a day, have the same insurance policy, and charge five dollars less. I told him he was full of ****. If I go to the dunes nowadays it's because all of us forum members get together.

You said you widend out your front end, this could be why your shocks are bottoming. From what I know, the change in width will put more stress on the shocks making them easier to bottom. Thats why when you get new a-arms you are recomended to get new shocks. I would think with reversed rims it would do the same.

Scince I have been going to the Dunes I have only seen them smoothed out one time and that was Easter Weekend. I understand where you are coming from on that one. You know what I don't understand is that if he would take just 4 or 5 hours he could go out there and drag 4 or 5 areas so when we are racing we don't kill ourselves, it would not be that hard.

I will have to check around on e-bay to see if I can find some after market shocks that can soak up really big hits well. I am around 200 lbs, but I'm wondering how elaborate of a shock I will need. From my understanding you get a little bit more travel with a piggy-back or reservoir type shock. What do you all think, how bout some recommendations.
