Are the front shocks on my banshee shot ????
#1
K I found another sweet deal on an 89 banshee, looks great all stock.... Been sitting for awhile.... So I bought it for a grand, starts on the first kick, runs like a bull..... I hardly rode it, the front end had some play, and I have no time to work on bikes lately. So I took it to the local moto shop, they said the front bushings were toast... So they did all the bushings, I get it back and took it out last night, it's A ROUGH RIDE !!!! CANT EVEN JUMP IT, I let my buddy ride it through a couple rough whoops, and i noticed the front shocks arent even compressing, So we stopped, i stood on it, the shocks compressed I got up, and they took almost 15 seconds to raise the bike back up, they make a slight creeking noise as well, so I figured it's probably the new bushings, well we rode it all night, and it got slightly better but not so well.... I had never really ridden the bike before we had the bushings put on so I can't tell which is the problem, the moto shop wont return my calls, think the bushings are just tight ?? Is this a common problem ?? Or do I need shocks, I plan to upgrade somewhere int he far future, but I want to ride the damn thing, do I just need to break them in ?? Thanks !!
