Sorry if you have to read this more than once. I have posted this on other forums as well. I really need your opinions, this is going to be a 10k decision for me.

Need some help on deciding which quad to buy. I want to buy a realible quad for mainly mx-riding. I would probably be riding more on trails if it was not forbidden almost everywhere. I would say 70/30 mx/trail.. In winter I will be riding on snow alot in very cold conditions.

Prices here in Finland/Europe are bit higher than in US. The best offers i could get: Suzuki LT-Z400 8500$ with 1 year warranty and Predator 9900$ with 2 years warranty.

The question is, do you think Predator is that much better? Is it worth 1400$ more?

One word : yes. If you look at what you get stock for stock the Predator will suit you better cheaper.

 

I think the Predator will suit you better for what you want to do. It comes with $1500 worth of Ohlins shocks from the factory and if your going to MX tracks the Z400 will need this upgrade anyway. You get more power and a bike more suited for MX. Some Z400 owners report problems with the frame cracking under severe use so yea, get the polaris.

 

Hey...i have a Z400 and i LOVE IT!!..i couldn't be anymore happy!!..but for u'r MX the predator would be a better quad for u'r buck...it has the better shocks..which is a HUGE PLUS!!..but for trail ridin the Z400 is a VERY sweet machine!!..the reverse if perfect for tight places..and the T-shape seat if VERY comfortable...before i got my Z400 i looked at getting a Predator..my biggest hang up was the Seat being uncomfortable!!..but like i said the predator is a very nice quad...for the kind of riding u'll be doing!!

The predator is the way to go man . Looks, performance, and prices. Ya the z 400 is a good bike but no ? the predator. I seen my couisn who is only one year older than me (14) eat up a soon to be pro rider on the z 400. He even beat him in the Trails. Now what do u think?

I would choose a predator over a z400 because it is good for mx, trails and haulin @$$ around tight corners. its a great bike
