LT 250R will cost you less than a 250R Honda. Won't handle as well as the Honda, front end geometry on the Zook isn't so hot. Will run as good '87 and up being powervalve motor. Love mine, been running it for 12 years with no problems. So far I don't like anything else (except a Honda R) as well, not even my Raptor, for overall rideability. It is stable and balanced, easy to jump and do things on. So if ya got the money, get a Honda, if you don't, get a Suzuki.

The LTs main downfall is its handling. Its motor is a strong runner and will run with Honda very easily. I hear the 85-86 LTs don't run as hard, but if you get the right tuner/mechanic you can get them to run just as hard.

downfall not as much aftermarket support.
pros/the lt is cheaper to buy.
downfall/the R handles better.
pros it is quicker stock for stock 87-92 model
downfall i miss my R...
if you got the cash get the R...if not the ZooK isnt bad to ride on either

I have an 86 lt250 that has been completely relibale and a great runner. 87 and later have a stronger motor. The handling is what you make of it. My brother has a 250r and I prefer the Suzuki. It feels more comfortable to me. Also, like it was said before, you can pick up a suzuki for about $1000-$2000 cheaper than a 250r.
Mine has been a good trail machine, duner, and still beats the new 400ex, LTz400, and hangs with Raptors.

But.. If you have the money and you are looking for a racer or flat out performance, go with the 250r, since it is very easy to get a lot of parts for it. You have to hunt a little more to get parts for a Suzuki, Aftermarket high performance parts that is. 87 and later are much easier to get parts for than the 85/86

techte-4 meaning quad, the techite 3 is a quad also for some reason , but the 4 is 2stroke and the 3 is four stroke and smaller, thoses quads are super hard to find any parts for, even stock parts
