Whats the best and/or easiest way to remove light rust from a FMF pipe
what kind of finish does it have? if it is just painted, i use a wire wheel brush on a bench grinder or drill, then repaint. If it is a "chrome" or some other plated surface, very fine steel wool will work. Mothers mag and aluminum wheel polish will remove rust easily on most plated surfaces. I have NOT used it on anything that gets as hot as a pipe though, so it could possibly? cause blueing or some other catastrophic looking thing to happen. Might be able to test it somewhere that is not noticeable. I have used it with very good success on wheels, grabars, handlebars and engine cases with no adverse effects.

Its a chrome pipe. I have some Mothers polish that I use on all my wheels so I will try that. I thought of steel wool but wasnt sure if it would leave scratches. Ille give it a try too if the polish doesnt do it by itslef.
Thanks
