I went to a 500 miles ride with a dozen buddies last weekend, in northern Quebec. We parked our vehicles in St-Michel-des-Saints (roughly 1 hr north of Montreal). Saturday, we went north-east to the city of La Tuque, about 150 miles away, there was ATV competitions, the 12 hours of La Tuque. There was hundreds of ATViers coming from everywhere to to the competitions. Sunday morning, we headed north-west to the city of Parent, about 200 miles away. Finally, monday morning we headed back to St-Michel-des-Saints with a stop in the Indian village of Manawan, for another 150 miles.

It was a lot of fun, even though we had a few mishaps (WELLA broke a few bones in her palm, POWER flooded his ATV in a small river crossing, DEDE blew a tire in a thousand pieces). It was my first ride with my new Bombardier Traxter Max (2-seater). It handles great, lots of traction and power, with a single tank of gas + reserve, I went 150 miles before I needed to refuel (5 gallon tank).

Hey Jackrabbit, That 500 mile ride sounds like it was alot of fun. I would like to do something like that someday. Did you get sore from riding? I liked your pictures also.

 

No, I wasn't sore at all. I also have another long ride planned for august, this time, we'll go more to the north, from the city of La Tuque to the city of Chibougamau (about 200 miles from the James Bay). This should be about 750 miles, in 5 days. At that latitude, we can expect to see gorgeous Aurora Boreales.

My Traxter Max gives me a great ride. However, the passenger must be at least 10 years old, to be able to have his feet on the floor board and to grab the handle bars.
