hpd race pipe

Default hpd race pipe

hello all. new to the forum but have been reading for years. i have a 96 sport with hsp pipe but want new hpd race pipe so called and talked to sue and she said it woudn't fit ,so how do some with older 400's run this pipe?

That was the older version of a race pipe that would fit a non-concentric drive set up.

Yeah they told me it wouldn't fit .I ordered it anyway.The exhaust flange they use is pretty cheesy.I really didn't have much trouble making it fit.My bike is a 96 also.If i would have kep the 4x4 it wouldn't have fit.Hope this helps.

ced, so is there really anything in the way or was it a fairly easy bolt on. did you do anything to help out the exhaust flange? thanks for the replies cause i would really like one on the bike.

I've got one on my 96 as well and have no problems with it. There are pics of mine as well on the gallery.

Nice pics to the both of ya. so i still wonder why they say it woudn't fit ? i did notice you both are not running shift lever, would that get in my way?

Now that I'm not sure of, mine didn't have a shift lever when I got it. Might pm Bubba297 or ced and ask them.

You should be ok with the shift lever.The only mod's i did was on my sislencer ,i wanted to keep my LRD silencer.
