Default Some Kinda Trouble in my Raptor

Was out at Pismo this weekend. I noticed that in 1st and 2nd gear at low rpm, a kinda jumping of the quad (hard to explain). Felt like spurts of power, with a quick lack of power, almost as if fuel was bieng robbed.

The only thing different with the bike for the past couple months of riding was a new choke cable install, from you Friendly Yamaha Con-artist. Also was wondering if it could be caused by my Pipe? Not enough packing in there, would that cause problem with low end?

Anyway if any of this chatter sounds at all familiar, any help would be greatly appreciated.

The air may have caused you to go lean on the bottom enough to make it run a little wierd...sputter, pop, clang?
Does it go under full throttle?
Does it still have the problem?
Also if the plunger(choke cable) is stuck it will effect your bike in this way

Ya, lots of sputter and pop. Full throttle seems to be fine. Just feel it at the low RPM, in the 15 MPH Zone .

Still has the problem, just back from Pismo. The plunger was just replaced, the guy told me it was stuck at 1/2 way on.

when you say the air may have caused me to go lean, is that from the pipe?

Your not giving alot to go by but it's normal to get a sputter and a cough when landing from a jump because of the slides bouncing.

Thanks.

This is before I even get out to the jumps. Low RPM in 1st and 2nd, just putting out to the hills. Never had problem before, but I did just get the plunger replaced before I went to Pismo.

Figured that may be the problem, but not sure on the fix. Also thought it might be from lack of packing in my pipe.

I misread the post sorry. It sounds lean to me also, you might be able to correct some of it by richening up your idle mix. screws, but you may need to raise you needles or go bigger on the pilot jet.
