Default ? Predator and Scrambler gas cap

First thanks!! Why does'nt the scrambler 400 2x4 yr2002 have a vent in the gas cap. Is it somewhere else, or just not one. I got a fuel cap for the scrambler with a gauge in it. And have already mod one out to fit the predator. But did'nt know about the vent tube. Hate to split a tank open.

The vent line comes out of the neck of the gas tank lid. It looks a litlle something like this. Gas tank #5 and 6.

NC is correct, the vent hides just under your plastic close to the gas cap.

Thanks NCScrambler and pudljumper: Looks like I'll do a vent mod on the predator, I never did like the hose coming out of the gas cap anyway.

Actually, Dennis Kirk has a little gas vent tip that goes on the hose coming out of the gas cap. You just cut the hose of about 1" from the gas cap, and insert the tip. It vents and it doesn't slop at all on the tank...then you never have to worry about twisting and untwisting the hose when you fuel up! I know Modquad has one on his pred and I don't think he slopped any at the last Hare Scramble...so if it didn't slop during that bumpy race, it won't!!
