I'm in the process of setting up my gearing for dragging at sand mountain nevada. I have 20x 10x8 8 paddle haulers. (Iknow I need 10 paddles just haven't gotten them yet) I have a 686 that I haven't Dynoed yet so I can't post any HP #'s to go off of. I can climb the hill reved out in 3rd with the stock 13/40. I tryed 13/42 and 4th gear and no go. I even tryed 14/42 and third gear and It doesn't pull as hard as the 13/40.I was thinking about a 12/40 and trying 4th gear. My question is what do you guys think would be better. Starting in first and pulling 3rd up the hill with the 13/40 or go to 12/40 or 12/42 and starting in 2nd and pulling 4th gear.
