Default JETTING A RAPTOR

I bought my raptor from my brother inlaw a year and a half ago. Within that time period i have replaced all the lil things that have went wrong, from starters to chains. When i bought it, i was told it was jetted right but i dont think it is, cause it wont start at first. You have to push it off and ride it a lil bit for it to start with the starter. I have a Yoshimura System and a K&N Filter but i have took it in and out..cause people have told me it will shorten the life of my motor, since i live in East Tennessee. DONT ASK..lol So what do i need to jet my raptor too, or what do i need to do?? Would appreciate the help

Default JETTING A RAPTOR

The jetting would be the cause of your starting issues. Bring your battery to have it check, an auto parts store should be able to do this for you.

Jetting.....If it was jetted for the pipe and stuff and you put the stock one back on I think you would know. It would be very sluggish on top end. To jet you just change the brass "jet" in each one of the carbs. They are located in the bowl, the bottom part of the carb. They come out with a flat head screw driver. You will PROBABLY need a 150 and 155 main jet, that should be close. Then go from there....do a search on jetting Raptors to find out what the motor does compared to what jets you have in it.
