warrior blowing fuses!!!
#1
last friday i picked up my new 2000 warrior. so far i have put about ten hours on it... anyways, one time when i came in for a break, i put it in neutral and the neutral light didnt come on. after shifting for a few seconds, i decided to try reverse to see if that light came on and it did. so i turned her off. when i tried to start it back up it was totally dead.
i checked the fuse and it was burned up. i put in the spare and bam she fires right up and comes back to life. all the lights and indicator light were working so i put her in gear and went down the driveway and back. sure enough, the neutral light didnt come back on. i tried to start it and it was dead again. another fuse had burned up...
what could be causeing this problem. what should i do...?

I dont know how your fuse can be blowing ,but I might know how to fix your light .There is a small green ground wire under the shifter that snaps to the case, it has a tendency to vibrate off alot ,so just snap it back on and your neutral light sould work again. Now about your other problem,I would take to someone who has a voltmeter and check were its shortting out. well good luck.

you most likely have an overload somewhere. and check that plug by the shifter. if it's unplugged though, the electric start shouldnt work, either. and for the neutral light, if the fuse is bad, the reverse light shouldnt work either. i think this calls for a dealer trip.

It's not the wire at the nuetral sender like other posts suggest. This wire is grounded by the sender to turn the light on and cannot cause the fuse to pop. Check the wires at the steering coluim, the wires were probably not routed right during assembly an have shorted through. Every time you ride and turn the bars the fuse pops.

i ride with 3 people that have warriors first the 96 has blown fuses, and so did the 99, but the 00 warriors green neutral light dont work. for some reason. Do any of u know why a oil/gas mix would be at the bottom plug for your airbox. i pulled that off of my neighbors 00 warrior and it was filled with gas and oil.
