Of all the problems that can cause a "no spark" issue, the least likely is the stator, on one of the big name brands anyway. I have a Honda 400 Auto in at the moment, the stator is crispy fried and it runs fine, until the battery goes flat anyway. Get a workshop manual for it and go through the test sequences. Most likely causes, plug, coil, CDI, trigger coil or a fault in the loom.
